The backbone of the training at the ZSC is the syndicate.
The Staff College syndicate forms the basic vehicle for instruction. The course is divided into six syndicates of 11 students each, with a spread of rank, experience, arm and service.
The aim of a syndicate discussion is to:
a. Present students with the opportunity to work with others in reaching a goal.
b. Enable students to broaden their professional knowledge by means of interaction with other persons.
c. Expose students to as many appointments as possible, thereby providing them with a broad knowledge of the work and responsibilities of the staff services.
